| Customer Reviews: DOES THE JOB WELL!!! June 1, 2010 Stephen Lucas (cincinnati, ohio) i have a whole boss system to this deck and it does the job well.it runs a lil hot but neva stops working.loss my remote so i cannot enjoy alot my features. and da SD read works when it wants too, plus you cannot skip to certain songs u want to hear with the sdcard.otherwise greatdeck!!!!!!
seems good, but Boss hasn't perfected it yet April 21, 2010 J. T. Giddens (Grand Rapids, MI, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i bought this deck to replace one that i had in my car that i loved. i recently replaced some of the stock speakers for various reasons and needed something a little more powerful to add some pep to the audio without installing an amp. i loved the 80Wx4 (320W) of power, but thats about all that i liked about it. the bluetooth was ok, but you had to dial a number from the remote. most of the menus are only accessible from the remote. and after a couple years since my last Boss deck, i thought that they would have fixed the random feature for mp3s, but no. another big mishap came when i started to lose presets including clock, EQ, and station presets. i asked a professional in the area and he said that it was not the wiring, but the deck itself. AND to top it all off, it didn't really sound that much better than my old 50Wx4 deck that i replaced! so now once i get my money back, i will be buying a new nicer deck and a used amp from a friend of mine.
You get what you pay for. April 18, 2010 Spirit Warrior (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this unit for my wife's car. Its a decent unit with a nice sound that brought the factory speakers to life. The video is nice and clear. The downfalls with this unit is CD's take a while to read, the aux. port always says no signal, the usb doesn't work with anything (Ipod or cell phone) other then a flash drive and the bluetooth is very "iffy". It will sync and unsync at will and thats if it even syncs in the first place. Cell phones seem to sync better than Ipods. Also, there are no graphics while a CD or SD card plays music and the music shuffle feature doesn't do a good job of shuffling. But the unit isn't too bad for $150.00. After all, you get what you pay for.
over promissed and under delivered April 7, 2010 dmac11 (el paso, tx) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this is the first and probably the last boss radio ill buy. its nice to have 320 total watts of power but it does no good wen you cannot control the levels. its 80x4 of raw power and theres not much else you can do with it. my bluetooth doesnt work and it says its 'touchpanel' which i thought was touchscreen operated and its not. there are no graphics or anything special about it. if you zoom to watch a movie you always see a caption in the corner stating zoom 2 and you cant get rid of that. im just upset that it was well represented with things it doesnt have. it claims to have seperate controls for bass and treble and there arent any. it kind of sucks
